Well, we didn't get a White Christmas but.....

We did wake up to about 2 inches of snow this morning!!! The kids have runny noses still and Colton doesn't have any snow gear so we won't be playing too much in the snow today, but I might take them out in it for a couple mins. Colton keeps begging me to go "touch the snow!".

I let the kids open one gift each on Christmas Eve. Didn't take much of Colton asking me to open a present! I think I get more excited about Christmas than him!

Christmas Morning!!!

Kaili (Andrew's sister) and I went shopping a week or so ago and found this adorable little stuffed puppy. He was so soft. I loved him. But Elly didn't really care for him and I wasn't going to spend $16 on a stuffed animal that she didn't even like!! Well the little puppy was sitting there next to my stocking on Christmas morning!!!
Elly's learning to love him!
"He's so soft!"
I got a baby ring for Ellyana to go with the one for Colton. Thanks mom!!!
Colton opening a gift from Rebecca!!!
He loves it!!
Daddy got Colton a cool track launcher thing! Boy stuff!
"Oh this is yummy!!"
Little booties! Robeez knock offs from Target...just as good!
They pass the taste test!
mmmmm!

Colton had to put all Elly's babies ni ni!

It was a nice Christmas. I did all the prep work for dinner the day before so that I wasn't rushing around on Christmas. We had Navajo tacos. It was my first time making them. My grandma and mom make them all the time and they are amazing!!! Anyhow, so Christmas morning we did our thing with the gifts and then just played with the kids. Then around 3 Juli, Mark and Mark's son Mike came over. I got dinner done and we ate and chatted and opened gifts from Juli. Everyone raved about the dinner...especially Andrew who had never had Navajo tacos. He needs to go see Grandma Sherry!!! Mine were good but not as good as hers!

So last Saturday my mom, stepdad, brother and sister surprised me and drove down to meet us. It was so fun! Colton loved spending time with his Nana and Elly has this fascination with her Uncle Drew!!! It was great to see them all. Here are some photos...

Colton was soooo excited to see him. Yet while we were waiting in line he freaked out and started crying!! He did not want to sit on his lap or even come near Santa!! Elly sat on his lap though! I was laughing so hard at poor Colton that the photo isn't the best.

And no scrapbook pages since my last post. Can you believe it?! I'm going to work on some today. I have tons of photos that just NEED scrapped!

Oh, but you know what I do have?! Photos of the gifts I made for our family. All our parents and grandparents received one of these little board books. Nine in all! They were so fun to make. Took me forever but it was worth it!!
Well I better run! Have a great day!!!

I'm not meant to have a WordPress blog!

LOL! I posted a week or so ago saying that my blog had moved to shawnablankenship.com. Well I can't get it to look right and now I can't login to update. grr! So I'm back here! LOL

So, it's been forever once again since I've posted last. Ellyana is now 7 months old. And Colton is 35 months old...lol!!! They are both doing wonderfully! Elly's still not crawling. She just realized that she can scoot backwards though. So maybe soon...we'll see! Tonight we are going to the grade school down the road for the Christmas program...Santa will be there after! Colton's so excited to see Santa. He keeps asking if it's time to go yet. We got the kids a few little gifts for Christmas. Something to open on Christmas morning. They have so many toys between the two of them that it was really hard to find something they don't already have! Especially for Ellyana. We ended up just getting her a cute little baby doll...can never have enough of those! I finished up all the gifts for our family. I can't show you yet though cause most of them read this blog!! But watch your mail guys!! I really think everyone will enjoy what I made.

So, how about some photos?! Colton wanted nothing to do with our last photo shoot so there are a ton of Elly and a few of him! I didn't haul out the back drops or anything this time either. Just sat her in front of the window and made funny noises at her!!

Colton not cooperating!
Elly...distracted by her "buba"
Notice the hair pretty?!!!!Check out those teethers!I love this one!!Buba again!Look at those cheeks! Colton and I made a city...it HAD to be around Ellyana!
I have this love for Baby Legs. I bought a pair that was on sale...they are normally around $15 (yikes!) and then a friend of mine gave me another pair and then I found a tutorial online on how to make adult tube socks into them! So I tried it out and it was soooo easy! I found these socks at the Dollar Store. And it took me about 15 mins to whip these up. I'm in love!! So everywhere I go I'm watching for cute sockies!

Totally doesn't match but that's beside the point!
My goofy boy!
We put up our tree (a fake one :( ) a week or so ago. Colton had a blast helping!
The kiddos! (Notice the baby legs?!)
